These FAQs are for CEOs, Directors, Business Owners and Senior Executives who want to know how Interational Business Mentors can assist for a business coaching and mentoring program.

We take care in the matching process to avoid potential conflicts. Prior to the matching process you and your Business Mentor are asked to complete a confidentiality agreement.

International Business Mentors understands the importance of getting the Mentor/Mentee match correct. After assessing each unique assignment, and establishing the requirements of individuals, an informal meeting is arranged between a potential Business Mentor and a potential mentee in order for both parties to establish suitability. If however, there is no meeting of minds after two formal mentoring sessions, International Business Mentors will reassess and rematch.

Our mentoring service fees will vary depending on the level and seniority of the mentor required. The level of skills and experience of the mentor best suited to you, will determine the fee, which typically ranges from $1,500 to $6,000 per month.

For a Business Mentoring relationship to have a positive impact a commitment of at least 6 months is required. Once established, many relationships last for years.

We take great care to match you with your Business Mentor. However, if the relationship does not work out we will find a replacement Business Mentor.

The minimum requirement is for one meeting per month for about half a day. Beyond that requirement there is flexibility. Early in the relationship there may be more frequent meetings and discussions or as circumstance develop you may need the Business Mentor to meet with more frequently during a particular issue. The amount of time your Business Mentor will spend with you will be discussed and agreed as required.

We will match you with a Business Mentor who has the skills and experience to meet your specific requirements. The Business Mentor may have a similar background, but will also have additional skills and experience to compliment you and help you develop.

In many circumstances your Business Mentor will have specific industry knowledge, which is critical. However you will also require the benefit of broad business experience. In most cases what is required is the Business Mentor’s broad business knowledge and experience, which can be applied to your business.

The exchange of information is protected by confidentiality agreements between International Business Mentors Pty Ltd and the Business Mentor, and also between International Business Mentors Pty Ltd and the mentee, to protect all parties involved and all information discussed.

You should cover any current issues that you have and any issues arising from previous mentoring sessions. The Business Mentor and yourself will decide on what you wish to cover and set up your session in an ordered, yet flexible fashion.

You may cover strategy, customer and competitive issues, organisational and people issues, operational challenges and financial areas. You may work on a growth plan or a business plan or any specific areas of concern or opportunity. You may simply brain storm an issue. Your Business Mentor will bring a wide variety of experience and techniques to assist in the process.

The Business Mentor will be using the mentoring techniques to develop the mentee, facilitate deeper insights, to help the mentee solve problems or accept challenges and opportunities.

These FAQs are for those who want to know more about our selection criteria for selecting Business Mentors.

This can vary. Initially there are more frequent meetings and discussions, but on average, time taken is about half a day per month.

Most Business Mentoring relationships are long term. Relationships last at least 9 -18months, but many continue for longer. In some instances the length of the relationship can be tailored for a specific purpose. Many mentees keep their mentors for a period of years taking the mentor with them as they move across positions, companies and businesses.
